Jackson #168, 2014 tristanstill

Info Camera
Leica master shot
Picture of the Week

http://tristanstill.com I first met Jackson many years ago in a squatted tug-boat office in Balmain, Australia, on a particularly picturesque part of Sydney harbour. Back then he had a different name, but he still had the same broad smile, and a glint in his eyes that was equal parts an inviting kind of joyfulness and mischievousness. Half quiet, reserved and thoughtful, half the eternal extravert – when I asked Jackson about taking his portrait and submitting it to a high profile portrait prize his response was simply – ‘Make me famous!’. This series is a selection of photographs that chronicle a number of those years I have known Jackson, and his home of the past few years now – the caravan ‘Cheap Thrills’.
