On the day of the Epiphany, in Monastiraki of Drama, takes place a ritual known as “Arapides”, which represents the battle of life and death. The group of performers of the custom is called “Tseta” (team). Young men and children are dressed top-to-toe in distinctive high hoods out of goat skin, fleece capes and heavy cow bells around their waist.
