To convey the idea of a song in seven images: that was the challenge of the Music Photo Contest organised by LFI in collaboration with Edel Records and Huawei. We congratulate the winner, Andrea Lavezzaro, on the publication of her series in Vinyl Stories magazine and a Huawei P9 Plus.
“Kendrick Lamar creates seductive and provocative music without the vulgarity favoured by most of today's rappers. I was trying to create a little story in order to translate the atmosphere of his song into visuals, using some of the photos I've taken during the past ten years,” is how the photographer describes her winning series on the song These Walls by Kendrick Lamar.
In addition to being featured in the first issue of the new lifestyle magazine Vinyl Stories, Andrea Lavezzaro's work will be displayed together with the second and third-prize winners in the entrance foyer of the Edel AG in Hamburg. The one-week exhibition opens on 1 November 2016 as part of the magazine's launch celebrations.
