Der Titel „Photographer of the Year“ und die damit verbundenen 25.000 US-Dollar gehen an Pablo Albarenga. „Open Photographer of the Year" wurde Tom Oldham und „Student Photographer of the Year" ist Ioanna Sakellaraki. Der Hamburger Fotograf Robin Hinsch wurde Kategoriesieger „Environment“.
Die zehn Kategoriesieger des Professional-Wettbewerbs wurden von einer internationalen Jury ausgewählt: Claudi Carreras Guillén, unabhängiger Kurator, Redakteur und Kulturmanager, Touria El Glaoui, Gründungsdirektorin der 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, Katie Hollander, Direktorin Annenberg Space for Photography, Gwen Lee, Direktorin Singapore International Photography Festival, Brent Lewis, Fotoredakteur The New York Times. Den Vorsitz beim Offenen und Jugendwettbewerb führt Gisela Kayser, Geschäftsführerin und künstlerische Leiterin des Freundeskreises Willy-Brandt-Haus e. V., Berlin.
