In der Ausstellung werden ca. 70 Originale berühmter Fotografen gezeigt, wie z.B. frühe Aufnahmen um 1945 (damals noch als Norma Jean), ein Reklamefoto für eine Schokoladenfabrik zum Valentinstag, Marilyns erstes Titelfoto eines US-Magazins (Romance), der legendäre „flying skirt“ von Elliot Erwitt und Bernard of Hollywood zum Filmklassiker „7 year itch“, sehr seltene private Aufnahmen von Arnold Newman sowie einige Bilder aus Lawrence Schillers legendärer Poolszene.
Marilyn Monroe (geboren am 1. Juni 1926 in Los Angeles als Norma Jeane Mortenson / gestorben am 5. August 1962 in Brentwood) war eine US- amerikanische Filmschauspielerin, Fotomodell, Sängerin und Filmproduzentin. Sie wurde in den 1950er-Jahren zum Weltstar und Filmikone; heute zählt sie zu den archetypischen Sexsymbolen des 20. Jahrhunderts.
