Helsinki Photo Festival

July 7, 2020

The third edition of the Helsinki Photo Festival takes place from July 7 to September 30, 2020.
The Helsinki Photo Festival for contemporary photography continues until September 30, 2020. This year’s edition revolves around the topic of ‘Trust’.

The main presentation will be on display at the Korjaamo Culture Factory from July 16 to August 16, 2020, while the festival’s central outdoor exhibition takes place in the courtyards of the National Museum of Finland. This includes projections of the winning images from an Open Call competition, as well as the showcase ‘The Nordic Village’ – featuring works by newcomer photographers from Finland and other Nordic countries.
Florence Montmare’s series ‘Scenes from an Islands’, in which the artist pays homage to Ingmar Bergman, will be displayed in the museum’s southern courtyard from July 7 to September 30, 2020. Another solo exhibition, titled ‘Europastrasse’ by Austrian photographer Otto Hainzl, will be on show at the Korjaamo Culture Factory’s Vaunusali (Tram Hall) from July 16 to August 16, 2020. Portfolio reviews, workshops, lectures and seminars complete the festival programme.
