Extreme Photography in Germany’s Rhine-Main region

From Thursday to Sunday (24 to 27 May), the RAY photo festival takes place in over ten venues in and around Frankfurt/Main. After the event, the exhibitions will remain on display until 9 September.

Having taken the Rhine-Main region by storm in 2012 and 2015, the RAY photography triennial is about to return with its third edition. A grand opening night on 23 May will be followed by four days of exhibitions and events dedicated to this year’s overall topic of ‘Extreme’.

In over ten venues across Frankfurt and the surrounding area, the festival presents showcases by more than 40 photographers – along with an exciting programme of artist talks, panel discussions, photography workshops and guided tours. The festival centre will be located in the city’s Museum of Modern Art ( Museum für Moderne Kunst, Domstrasse 3).

After the festival, the exhibits will continue to be displayed until 9 September 2018.
