A Story Comes Together
    LFI Workshop with Stanley Greene
    on September 26 and 27, from 10am to 6pm

The focus of this workshop lies on developing and telling stories: Greene will show examples of his work and will discuss his approach to finding the themes, documentation while on the road with the camera, and the way to convey ones own vision when working in crisis regions. Together with the participants, Greene will develop themes that they can photograph over the week-end. The results will be discussed in the group, and answers to the question ‘how does a successful photo story come about?’ will be explored.

Stanley Greene was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1949. An encounter with W. Eugene Smith sparked his passion for photo journalism. Greene became known for his documentation on the Chechen war, and has since receive five World Press Awards, among others. He is today a member of the NOOR Agency, and lives and works in Paris.
