Andrei Tarkovsky

October 12, 2017

‘Andrei Tarkovsky. Artist in Space’, an exhibition about the Russian film-maker, remains on display at the Russian State Museum of St. Petersburg until November 20, 2017.
On the occasion of the 85th birthday of the exceptional Russian film director, Andrei Tarkovsky (1932–1986), the exhibition Andrei Tarkovsky. Artist of Space remains on display at the Russian State Museum of St. Petersburg, up until November 20, 2017.

The exhibition combines documentary material and archival shots, as well as examples of artistic interaction between Tarkovsky’s work and a number of artists and photographers. At the centre of the exhibition are photos taken on film sets, which offer insight into the film-maker’s approach to his work.

In this regard, the London White Space Gallery is offering a limited edition of 25 Polaroid motifs by Tarkovsky, that were produced as Lambda prints in Florence in 2007.
