Photos for Press Freedom

Fotos für die Pressefreiheit 2017 [Photos for Press Freedom 2017] will appear on May 3, World Press Freedom Day. With emotional images, it reports on the hotspots of news events and illuminates the situation of countries where an independent press is under pressure.

Over twenty photographers have made their work available for free to Reporters Without Borders for this year’s photo book. The proceeds from the sales of the publication will flow entirely to the organisation’s press work and emergency relief for lawyer fees and medical help for persecuted journalists.

The photographers represented are: Mohammed Badra, Jorge Cabrera, Nikolay Doychinov, Peter Foley, Mohammed Hamoud, Tjasa Kalkan, Nicholas Kamm, Francois Klein, Marco Longari, Emmanuel Guillen Lozano, Guy Martin, Davide Monteleone, Dominic Nahr, Johny Pits, Gilles Sabrie, Miguel Angel Sanchez, Mikko Stig, Jacek Taran, Dondi Tawatao, Nuria Teson and Damon Winter.
