So many crises, so many pictures – the overwhelming mass of it all has a deadening effect. Every day, through every means, we are bombarded with terrifying images. The impression is that the only way to create a distinction is by producing even more spectacular pictures showing even greater suffering.
Does this put more pressure on photographers and the media? Does this result in an increase in the risk of manipulation and voyeurism? We aim to explore these questions in a discussion group with our guests on on June 26, 19.00.
