Announcing the nominees for the Nannen Prize 2017 in the category of Photo Reportage.
The shortlist for the Nannen Prize 2017 has been revealed. Among the nominees is Frederico Rios, who worked with a Leica from the LFI loan-pool to document the everyday lives of FARC rebels in the Columbian jungle. His reportage was published in Germany’s Stern magazine under the title Die Dschungel-Armee (The Jungle Army).

Leica photographer Valerio Bispuri has dedicated much of his work to capturing the realities inside South American prisons. He is nominated for his reportage Hinter den Mauern der Hölle (Behind the Walls of Hell), also published in Stern.

The shortlist further features Bieke Depoorter, Kaveh Rostamkhani, Dmitrij Leltschuk, Philip Montgomery, Arnau Bach, Timothy Fadek, Sadegh Souri, Diana Bagnoli, Toby Binder, Sonja Hamad, Charlie Hamilton James, Lisa Krantz, Luca Locatelli, Minzayar Oo, Patrick Tombola and Stephan Vanfleteren.

The awards ceremony takes place on 27 April 2017 in Hamburg.
