The first prize in each category is 2,000 euros, while the overall winner stands to receive an additional 10,000 euros. The winner of the Newcomer Award goes home with professional photography products to the value of 5,000 euros. With a total value of 25,000 euros, the Felix Schoeller Photo Award is among the most highly endowed awards in the German-speaking realm.
Winning series 2014: "Right Up Close" by Peter Schulte
Last year, Hamburg-based photographer Peter Schulte impressed the jury in the category of Portrait Photography, and went on to be the competition's overall winner with his series "Ganz Nah Dran" (Right Up Close).
