There’s no way you can miss the fact that LFI has had a makeover. The cover reflects the basic concept – more room for photography, well-structured content, and a clear, seamless design. As the medium for Leica photography, LFI offers photographers and their work an even greater stage, supporting all the diverse systems in the Leica cosmos.

In the first issue with LFI’s new look, Peter Bialobrzeski presents the urbanity of Kochi in southern India. Tom Wood takes us time-travelling to the eighties and to the club of his youth. Monica Menez presents her bizarre and humorous style of fashion photography, and Cédric Gerbehaye puts us in the picture of the fatal consequences of mining raw materials in the Bolivian Andes.

Technology questions continue to be given their due: in the newly designed F/STOP segment, we introduce new products, pushing thoughts about application to the forefront. The Readers’ Gallery is now called LIGHTBOX and presents a selection in large-format of the best works found in the LFI Online Gallery. In the PHOTO segment, we look beyond immediate horizons to the international photo scene: this is where we include information about current exhibitions, important new publications on the photo book market, and photo festivals.
