It was during a large hippie meeting in the Negev Desert that an unexpected encounter with the pilot of an ultra-light airplane took place.
“It was an Israeli regional Rainbow Gathering in the Negev Desert, back in November 1997 (near the moshav Ein Yahav). The place was incredibly beautiful. It was a couple days before the full moon during the evening food circle when someone came to the gathering with an ultra light plane and flew over the main camp a couple of times.

Later he landed his plane nearby and joined us all at the main fire. It was a strange, interesting and happy moment that nobody expected. But nice things like this always happen on the Rainbow Gatherings.“
