Portraits d’Europe 1960-80: Cartier-Bresson – Barbey – Manos – Parr ist eine neu konzipierte Ausstellung, die noch bis zum 31. Mai 2017 in der Magnum Photos Gallery in Paris präsentiert wird.
Mehr als vierzig Fotografien nehmen die Besucher auf eine manchmal komische, manchmal romantische Reise durch Europa: nach Henri Cartier-Bressons Frankreich, Bruno Barbeys Italien, Constantine Manos’ Griechenland und Martin Parrs England.
Die Auswahl der Motive basiert auf Bildserien, die aus weltberühmten Büchern bekannt sind: Les Europeens von Cartier Bresson (1955), Bad Weather von Martin Parr (1982), A Greek portfolio von Costantine Manos (1999) und Les Italiens von Bruno Barbey (2002).
