On 12 January, the Parisian Galerie Particulière hosts the opening reception for the exhibition Modern Sati, featuring the work of Floriane de Lassée. The show continues at the gallery until 25 February 2017.
In this profoundly aesthetic series, the French photographer addresses the age-old tradition of forced marriage and the inferior status of women in India. The images were created in Rajasthan in 2016. Floriane de Lassée (born 1977) lives and works in Paris.
